Yield Our Hearts to God

Postby AHeartofJoye » 20 Mar 2011, 21:03

Sometimes we become absorbed with our own desires, and become blind sided - but when we yield our hearts to God, our hearts are changed.

Be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and . . . put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" (Ephesians 4:22-24, King James Version).

We can make mistakes and learn from them. We can learn from the fruits of our right and wrong choices.

"For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

We are to press forward in life with a steadfastness in Christ, yield our hearts unto God, giving Him control - knowing the glory of God is worth giving ourselves for.

Think on this - we are to yield our hearts (faith) and draw near to God. As our hearts are more inclined to God, so the fruit of His Spirit is multiplied in our lives ...
He changes us by the power of His glory.

1 John 3:2
(King James Version)
2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Romans 6:3-5
(King James Version)

3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

We glorify Him by becoming more like Him.
