why persecutest thou Me

Postby Jean owens » 20 Aug 2009, 02:18

HI

Saul , Saul , why persecutest thou Me Acts 26:14

Am I set on my own way for God ? We are never free from this snare until we are brought into the experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire. Obstinacy and self will will always stab Jesus Christ. It may hurt no one else, but it wounds His Spirit.
Whenever we are obstinate and self willed and set upon our own ambitions we are hurting Jesus. Every time we stand on our rights and insist that this is what we intend to do we are persecuting Jesus.
Whenever we stand on our dignity we systematically vex and grieve His Spirit and when the knowledge comes home that it is Jesus Whom we have been persecuting all the time it is the most crushing revelation there could be. AM EN

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Power for New Life
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you

The power source for becoming the person that created us to be is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit gives life to our spirits and bodies, enabling us to life in righteousness as God intended.

Am I as spontaneously kind to God as I used to be, or am I only expecting God to be kind to me Am I full of the little things that cheer His heart over me, or am I whimpering because things are going hardly with me? There is no joy in the soul that has forgotten what God prizes. It is a great thing to think that Jesus Christ has need of me
How much kindness have I shown Him this past week
Have I been kind to His reputation in my life
AMEN

Hi Jean, I want to tell you that you have been an encouragement through all the persecution that I have dealt with on the Class Mates Western Religion forum and when the LOrd led me to it. I had no idea what I would find there. There is a satanic stronghold on that board. Led by the Mormons, JW's, The agnostics and the atheist. I believe my time was spent there for a reason and I still may post from time to time, but I must dust my feet off and move on.

The best thing that has come from it is meeting my sisters like you and Alice, and Diane and Bonnie, and and Jen and some of the rest and all the brothers on that forum.

May the Lord continue to use you and please visit and post here often.

It is a great thing to think that Jesus Christ has need of me

Isn't this such a 'true' statement.

Why in the world would Christ need me or someone else?

He needs us because He created us,and loves us.

Not only does He need us,but we need Him even more.

Yes, I think it's sooo important for us to be a 'witness' for the Lord even on other sites; even though, we feel like we are failing the Lord sometimes.

*********************************************

And this is the condemnation, that the light (Christ) has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For everyone practicing evil hates the light (Christ) and does not come to the light (Christ), lest his deeds should be exposed.

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
***************************************************************************************************

Yes, we're to be the 'light' in the world for the world to see God~

How could anyone not want their name in the Lambs book of LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

Daniel 7:10
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him thousand thousands ministered unto him and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him the judgment was set and the books were opened

Revelation 20:12).
This great vision of the coming Day of Judgment is apparently the same as that later seen by John And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God and the books were opened and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works

These books of judgment are evidently books of records of the works of men. They must include also the books of the Bible, for the words of men must be evaluated in terms of the words of God. As Jesus said
John 12:48
The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day

Romans 3:20
The fearful truth, however, is that all who are judged according to their works are lost, for by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified

Revelation
There is another book of God at the judgment ,And another book was opened, which is the book of life And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" In this book are the names of all who are trusting in Christ alone for salvation.

There is still one more book which God is keeping Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Malachi 3:16,17
And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels
All whose names are in ,the Lambs book of life, will never be judged by their works. Instead, all service for their Lord will be remembered in His special book of heavenly jewels

HI Bro fRANK,
I can tell you this because my fast is over
I fasted for 4 days, that is why I have not been on to much ,sometimes

And I do not think THE LORD will be angry because I told you a man of GOD after I was done AMEN

God said when we humble ourselves through prayer and fasting he, himself takes care of these spirits that have gained legal access into our lives. ...................................
Our consecration to him closes their legal entry and enables him to rebuke all the devourers and weeds around our lives. He rebukes them, not us. Our only role is to focus on him over what he requires of us, and not to focus on whatever demon spirits are up to.AMEN

Yes there are evil demons on those boards, and they truly hate us blood bought christians

thank you for being a friend to me,
and I will keep on praying for you and JOAN

GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND
love ya :yoamp

Hi Jeani
YOUR words are so true

"Preach the word. 2 Timothy 4:2

We are not saved to be channels only but to be sons and daughters of God. We are not turned into spiritual mediums, but into spiritual messengers,AMEN the message must be part of ourselves. The Son of God was His own message, His words were spirit and life and as His disciples our lives must be the sacrament of our message. The natural heart will do any amount of serving, but it takes the heart broken by conviction of sin, and baptized by the Holy Ghost and crumpled into the purpose of God before the life becomes the sacrament of its message.

There is a difference between giving a testimony and preaching. A preacher is one who has realized the call of God and is determined to use his every power to proclaim God's truth. God takes us out of our own ideas for our lives and we are battered to shape and use as the disciples were after Pentecost. Pentecost did not teach the disciples any thing it made them the incarnation of what they preached Ye shall be witnesses unto Me." AMEN

Let God have perfect liberty when WE speak. Before Gods message can liberate other souls,AMEN,AMEN the liberation must be real in US. .....................

AND I am proud to say I have met another christian sister,in you JEANI
GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND

May the Lord protect and guide you, Jean and Frank, as you witness on that board you're referring to. From the sounds of it, it makes the PNW board look like a tiptoe through the tulips!

Carmela, Yes it does make PNW look tame in comparison. Most secular run forums like this are full of hatred toward the Lord and His children. It gives you a look into the real world and the perilous times that we are living in.

BRO FRANK,You are a dear person to me you were from the time I met you,I have never spoken to your wife but from the very first time I prayed for her I have felt this bond for this dear lady in CHRIST

THOSE devil boards as I call them I have never been around anything like them before in my life, this last spat that was on there was the doings of 2 people,And I was very proud of you as a pastor and a christian with the way you handled GODS WORD
Now as a woman I have to be carefull, and not gossip, because as a christian we are not to do that, and I think I lost a friend because of my stand for what I think was right and JESUS is my first love I love HIM more than my own children and they know this now because they have all been saved and they wanted to be baptized,I have never saw a person go away from the faith and it as really gotten to me,and my time on those devil boards are very limited...I know I should have stood up for you more in the sight of folks instead of behind because they knew my feelinge for a man of GOD and I think it would have made it worse if I had stepped in in the last couple of days, but I will not leave my faith for any human amen,YOU ARE A VERY STRONG MAN IN THE FAITH AND I PRAISE THE LORD THAT HE ALLOWED ME TO KNOW YOU,I do not believe in the new feel good religion that has taken ahold on a lot of folks, and I beleive with all my heart that I am doing the right thing, the LORD has allowed me to start a bible study in my home 2 days aweek so I ask who ever reads this to send up a prayer, love you dearly bro frank :dtf

Classmates.com ... "the devil board" ... I know what you mean. Western Religions topic board, where Christians are constantly taunted and abused. The cyberspace is used by many to show their anger and contempt because in real life, they wouldn't look too good!
