‘We’ve got Jesus’ chant angers losing football coach
When an all-boys Catholic school’s football team in Cincinnati beat their public-school opponents in a championship game, the losing school chanted, “We got girls!” The Catholic fans from St. Xavier High offered the best comeback they could, “We got Jesus!”

But that didn’t go over so well. Their Jesus cheer angered rival Colerain High coach Tom Bolden, who shouted at the St. Xavier student section during the post-game huddle, according to a story in the Cincinnati Enquirer

“That’s where I’ve got to draw the line,” Bolden said. “They ought to be embarrassed.”

The “We got Jesus” cheer controversy made headlines, but St. Xavier fans defended themselves.

“The sad reality of this situation is that our entire faculty has absolutely handcuffed us in terms of what we are and aren’t allowed to chant because they are so worried about our public relations,” one fan told the newspaper. “The chants that our student section chant are nothing compared to what the teams we play are able to stay us. How about you report on the constant anti-gay chants we have to deal with week in and week out?”

Was Coach Bolden overreacting, or do you think should Christian schools keep their Savior out of sports?
