It has been a while since my last update on Joan. She has another chemo treatment Thursday. If all goes as planned, she will only have two more treatments left. Joan's CA-125 has stayed below normal since the first of April. All indications is that Joan is in remission. She will see Dr. Lawhead at the end of August for an evaluation and then sometime in September have a CT/Pet Scan to make sure all traces of cancer is gone.
We are excited about the possibility of a complete healing and at least a time of remission. It has been a long journey and the chemo has taken a toll on Joan's body. We are looking forward to our time without treatments and weekly doctor visits. Joan has endured more then I thought a person could. She is an inspiration to so many people and a witness to all she comes in contact with.
We are so thankful for all your prayers and for God's miraculous provisions. We can give first hand testimony of God making a way when their seemed to be no way by using total strangers in the process. The doctor's and medical community in Joan's case has reached out in love and care, and we have found so many to be our brother's and sister's in Christ. What a blessing.
I hope that in the very near future that the update I give will be one that we have all been looking for for these last three years. One of healing and restoration for Joan. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
