travel mercies

Postby Carmela » 09 Apr 2011, 11:13

I covet your prayers for a safe travel day tomorrow. We leave Naples at 7 am (1 am est) into Rome. We leave Rome 11 am (5 est) and then arrive in Boston at 2:15 pm. Then the bus into Portland ME and then we drive to the house. I'll be headed back to NY on Tuesday or Wednesday. I have had a wonderful vist with my daughter and granddaughters and will miss them terribly. They all are coming to Maine in June, however, so I'll get to see them again soon :)) God bless you brothers and sisters!!

Thank you all for your prayers :) I made it to Maine and aside from being majorily jet lagged, I'm well. The entire day of travel was uneventful and smooth. . .just very long. I woke up at 3 this morning bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready for the day. My system still thought it was in Italy where it was 11:00 in the morning. I'm not a breakfast eater but at 6:30 we were eating a big breakfast, haha! Now it's only 6:00 in the evening and I'm ready for bed. . .ugh. So I'm hoping for a good night's sleep tonight in which case I'll head home to NY. I miss you all and am looking forward to getting home.

Oh, it was, brother Wayne! I'm too old to do this kind of travel. I don't know how people fly back and forth to Europe and still function. They make it sound so glamorous but it's brutal on the system. It's soooo good to be home in my own bed and my own comfy chair :))
