This statement of faith...Good or not?

I know as Christians every thing should be bible Related, but you may post discussions on bible related subject or questions about scriptures or just want to share a bible study with us.

I attended an 'Independant Baptist Church' myself, but we used NO Baptist literature to study from.

My pastor was a 'scripture by scripture' Bible teacher, and he knew the Bible very well...

It was not legalistic, but free will with grace...

Why they never took off the name of Baptist, I do not know...

Anyway, I belong to a Baptist Church now,and my pastor cannot preach.

He uses a screen with a clicker, and he talks giving only two scriptures usually.

You have to be very careful today, and ask the pastor to visit you.

You have to visit the church often before you decided to join...

I was a member of my church, and my pastor came along later...

So many of my church members have left our church because of our pastor, but we're still there until the Lord moves us...

Thanks for including us in your decision...

Do you all remember that group of idiots who would picket the funerals of our fallen soldiers, disrupting everything and saying horrible things in the name of "God". . .well, they are Independant Baptists so I guess it can go from one exteme to the other when there is no accountability.

What is WRONG with those people?! Horrible testimony, and most likely not even saved!

Well first I would like to thank all again for this.. You really don't know what this means to me because I have seen the way my friend Donna has been treated by her children..
If I were to tell you these kids seemed like they were influenced by a something evil it would be an understatement.
The daughter has gone so far as to tell others that she wish her Mom to die and would leave her dead in the street and walk by.
It breaks my heart because I can't imagine any Mother going through this treatment. I guess my heart is so soft that i always wished that all my Moms could experience the love and relationship that my Mom had from me.

I guess the what i really need to know is should she beware of anything specifically as far as this church or anything from the kids that go here? Does she need to put on armor and arm herself for any kind of battle that I may tell her about?

I know the biggest armor is praying for her.

I wish I could help her with this but won't pretend that I know things when I don't. I feel helpless sometimes and that is why I am very happy that members here have taken the time to help me with this.
If you could see the tears I am crying you will understand.. Donna has taken me under wing and has been such a Godly blessing to me since Mom passed away. I need to help her because I don't want her to lose faith and fall away from God.

Thank you so much everybody and know that I LOVE you all. :yagl :thns :bewi

Anna, We should always put on the armor of God daily regardless what may come our way. These children are not reflecting Christ like fruit. I can not say it is a result of the church that you are talking about and there influence, but it sure shows what is in there heart.
