Non compromising believers are hard to find these days, Frank. A member of my SS class told me that he didn't exactly know what salvation was, but that he had been dunked and was very proud of it. I tried to explain to him, but he said that he goes to church every Sunday, and that was good enough. I would never of thought of that coming from a church member. I just made this same post in the wrong place, a little while ago. :onug

They are few and far between, but a lot of it Pastor's to weakknee to Preach ,leaving out scripture that might offend ,most are more interested in filling up benches than seeing more added to the Body..had a long talkwith my nephew today,he actually listened and ask some question's..he was telling me about all the new churches being built,I told him most new churches are the "If it feel's good do it churches" I told him what Yeshua will say to them who profess with their tongue ,but their heart denies Christ as Lord of their life.."depart from Me,I *NEVER* knew you" .....not I knew you once..
He who compromises the sovereign Word of God, compromises the sovereign foundation, of a Christian nation

I have been a Christian since I was 32 years old (31 years ago). It occured to me at that time that I was witnessing the "falling away". I was unchurched and an athiest when I came to the Lord so I didn't have much experience to go by (I was saved at home, while reading the Bible at my kitchen table) but the first time I went to church, after I was saved, was for a funeral. The methodist pastor said one thing I will never ever forget: "We know we are Christians because we follow the teachings of Christ." I wanted to stand up and shout, "Then Christ died for nothing!"

I really think the pastor's statement has become the cornerstone of false belief in churches today. People take Christ's "teachings" and make them mean anything they want.

Amen Lynda! The false religions and cults follow Christ teachings, but never Follow Christ. They are forever learning but never coming to the knowledge of truth.

The first step is to come to Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
