The Great Deception!

Postby Remnant » 18 May 2008, 17:03

Matthew 24:4-11
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

Jesus also said in Matthew 7:22-23
22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Beware of wolves in sheep clothing and those who profess to know God, but their heart is far from Him!

I guess the key is to unzip the sheep's suit.

Matthew 7:16-20 (King James Version)

16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Yes, It's a scarey time we live in if we don't know The Word. We MUST be solidly rooted in Scripture or we will fall for the enemy's tactics. The spiritual warfare going on now is intense.

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the Church, there will be only 'two' comings for us...
1. The Rapture where Jesus will come in the clouds:
Then we (true church) who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds [/b[b]]to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess. 4:17
&
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
and half of it toward the south.
Zechariah 14:4
Thus the Lord my God will come,
And all the saints with you.
Zech. 14:5b
So no one should be confuse, when they followed the scriptures...
**************************
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
These are not the church because the church has already met the Lord in the air.
These are the ones who are left after the Rapture of the Church.
Beware of wolves in sheep clothing and those who profess to know God, but their heart is far from Him!
Test the Spirits,and you will know them by their fruit...
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22
So very true, Carmela! We absolutely must know the Word, or we will not be able to "discern". That word is huge in this day and time. So many out there who attend these "feel good" churches think they are saved, when in fact they aren't. There's a big difference in knowing God, and knowing about God. Jesus said you must be born again - He said it 3 times, in John 3:3, 5 & 7. That comes from the heart, not the head.
