The Gay Gospel

Postby Servant » 04 May 2010, 10:11

A few days ago I was shocked about hearing that Jennifer Knapp, a Christian music artist, announced to the world that she "came out" to be a lesbian.
I went to her Facebook page to see how her fans would react. What I found was for the very most, shameful. She has been congratulated, praised, awarded heroism, ... from her Christian Gay following. That's right, I said, "Gay Christian following." Only a few of us authentic Christians shared the Word that exposes homosexuality as sexual immorality, and the usual hostility arrived... from gay Christians. This sounds like a trip into the Twilight Zone, doesn't it? A Pastor there, a United Methodist, who performs same sex marriages, and defends homosexuality as NOT being sin,
is a very active author on the site. He defends the "new" theology that since gays have the capability to love, and since God is Love, they are the Children of God, and their lifestyle should not be judged... by sin. I did a little investigation concerning this Pastor. He has his own website, and is the Pastor of a UMC Church. I asked him if he performs same sex marriages. He admitted, yes. I then went to Wikipedia to find the doctrines of the United Methodist Church. They do not allow same sex marriage, nor allow gays to be in ministry. Gays are not shunned from being members, and the church is encouraged to love. So, I was a little concerned that the Pastor might be operating outside the box with his own agendas. What I found was much worse than that. I went to a site called "Affirmation" which had a logo and statement that would lead you to believe it was United Methodist. This outfit is a gay activist non-profit that "affirms" gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgenders of their spirituality, gathering gays from all over various denominations, teaching the Gay Gospel, bringing them into a "Christian" unity, such as "The World Council of Churches." In the fine print on the bottom of their page they "affirm" that they are no way affiliated with UMC. "Affirmation" also becomes "Christian" to LDS gays, and whatever .... flavor of the day someone cries from. They suggest that God is doing a "NEW" thing, ...... we see it as "Living in sin, infecting the Body." The gay activists have now crept into main stream Christianity, and are preaching to Orthodox Christianity that we have been wrong for 2,000 years. So, in the near future we will see this evil boldness coming into our love feasts and communion tables, militant, rebellious sin which has been taught that it is approved by God.
What do we do? Same as usual, Preach the Word in love. Pray, pray, pray for new ways to reach these people, since they think they do not need to repent, to change their minds. We are living in the days when good becomes evil, and evil, good.
Since Christ Jesus lives in us, I believe the most effective way to witness is to let Jesus out! :gif

God's Word is forever being compromised, distorted, and literally lied about!!! They will soon come out with their own Bible version, I guess. It's sickening what so called pastors are allowing in the name of our Most Holy God. There is scripture that says that they will be held accountable, as leaders, more than the rest. Of course, they never got that far in their liberal seminaries.

FOR THE TIME HAS COME FOR JUDGMENT TO BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD; AND IF IT BEGINS WITH US FIRST, WHAT WILL BE THE END OF THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL OF GOD? 1 PETER 4:17

Peter had referred to persecution and suffering as trails that refine and prove one's faith if reacted to in the will of God.

Now he added that God allows persecutions as disciplinary judgment to purify the lives of those in the family of God.

If believers need disciplinary earthly judgments, how much more will those who do not obey the gospel the ungodly and the sinner, deserve everlasting judgment?

Now, it's hard for me to believe that a 'professing homosexual' is truly a Christian....

I believe that Churches who ACCEPT homosexuals as SAVED will be judge in the end.

We're to LOVE the person, but HATE the sin...

Tell them the TRUTH...

This is really sad. The end is so near and millions are going to hell. We want what we want and think that God is just going to overlook it because He is love. A very unbalanced Gospel.

Yes, very unbalanced indeed. I also agree with y'all , whereas a practicing gay is not a Christian because of rebellion, unforgiven sin. I tried a different approach, as if looking through the eyes of God, "while we were yet sinners" and their reprobate minds were still filled with hatred. Very sad, revealing, challenging, and disgusting. End times, people.

Doug, Years ago, there was a section of town in Atlanta, that I use to minister in and one street was nothing but homosexuals and they all had there rainbow signs and such. I found that sharing the simple gospel message was more effective then anything and helping them to come to grips, that they were sinners who needed a saviour. I was blessed one time by one of these individuals who had aids and was dying from it in a hospital who asked that I visit him. He told of the lifestyle of being a hairdresser most of his life and his promiscuous lifestyle. He also knew that what he had done was wrong. He surrendered his life to the Lord and repented of his sins. He died two months later.

I share this simply to say that the first step to reconciliation with God for the Homosexual is the realization that they have sinned. Just like a drunkard or a murderer or a thief. That comes through the drawing and conviction of the Holy
Spirit.

You have done what God has called you to do and a wonderful witness you have been. God will honor that and you may not see immediate results, but none the less, He will not let what you have shared return void!

Everyone remembers the Biblical story of David and Bathsheba...

David 'took' Bathsheba for adulterly,and sent her husband to the 'front lines' to died, to cover David and Bathsheba's sin...

There's no doubt in my mind that David was truly saved,but David was filled with sin...

Because David truly repented, God allow him to suffer 'great consquences' for his sin...

His daughter, Tamar, was rape; Absalom (David's son) kills Amnon; Absalom tries to take the kingdomship from David; and Absalom dieds.

I believe the Bible clearly teaches there is 'sin leading to death' if a professing Christian 'continues' in their sin...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IF ANYONE SEES HIS BROTHER SINNING A SIN WHICH DOES NOT LEAD TO DEATH, HE WILL ASK, AND HE WILL GIVE HIM LIFE FOR THOSE WHO COMMIT SIN NOT LEADING TO DEATH. THERE IS SIN LEADING TO DEATH. I DO NOT SAY THAT HE SHUOLD PRAY ABOUT THAT.
ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS SIN, AND THERE IS SIN NOT LEADING TO DEATH.
WE KNOW THAT WHOEVER IS 'BORN OF GOD' DOES NOT SIN; BUT HE WHO HAS BORN OF GOD KEEPS HIMSELF,AND THE WICKED ONE DOES NOT TOUCH HIM.
WE KNOW THAT WE ARE OF GOD, AND THE WHOLE WORLD LIES UNDER THE SWAY OF THE WICKED ONE. 1 JOHN 5:16-19
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sometimes a Christian may sin so seriously that God judges that sin with swift physical death: a sin that leads to death.

Ananias and Sapphira are cases in point.

But most of the sins which one sees a Christian brother commit are not of such a nature, as their common occurrence shows.

For these, a believer ought to pray, knowing that any sin--if continued in long enough--is a threat to a fellow Christian's life.

The restoration of a brother may secure a prolonging of his physical life.

Now, because of David's repentance, God didn't give David swift physical death,but great, suffering consequences...

God used 'Nathan' to remind David of his sin; just like the Church is to speak the 'truth' about sin...
