Tennessee, Mississoppi, & Alabama floods

Postby JWayne » 03 May 2010, 20:35

Please everyone remember all of those affected by the floods and still raging rivers that hit these states. We were very fortunate that it hit all around us. Had Ky Lake not been way down, we too would have been under water. My son goes to school in Clarksville and was supposed to go back tonight for finals tomorrow and Wed., but it looks like the Cumberland will not crest til some time late morning Tue. His campus is not flooded but there is no way in to it, and it looks like it will be a few more days before he is able to return.

Nashville is in shambles, and it will take a long long time for them to recover. I-40 and I-24 as far as I know are still closed.

Hi Wayne, I have been watching some of this on the news. I will remember these folks in my prayers. Stay safe and dry!

The death toll in Nashville is now at 28 as of this morning. Austin Peay State University is closed again today due to the Cumberland still raging, and yet to crest.
