Apparently, these pictures have been popping up around the country, with sightings from Erie to Waco to the Bay Area.

Harold Camping, owner of Family Radio and Christian radio host, is the leader of this campaign. To clarify, May 21 is not the actual end of the world, according to Camping’s WeCanKnow.com. Rather, that’s merely the day of the Tribulation and Christ’s return. The big day is Oct. 21, 2011. That’s the day “when He will destroy the world and all that is therein.”

This is not the first time Camping has predicted Judgment Day:

On Sept. 6, 1994, dozens of Camping’s believers gathered inside Alameda’s Veterans Memorial Building to await the return of Christ, an event Camping had promised for two years. Followers dressed children in their Sunday best and held Bibles open-faced toward heaven.

With the imminent soon return of the Lord on the horizon and prophecy is unfolding before our very eyes, we need to be carful to not let ourselves start setting dates or believe in date setting.

Nowhere in the Scripture can I find where believers are commanded to figure out or know the date of Christ's return. In fact, there is a great deal of Scriptural warning against date setting.

I absolutly agree, Frank.
I certianly need to be aware of what is to come (Praise Him!!) and recognize points of reference to scripture but to not place the main focus on what will happen and when, before what I am becoming today... a fully devoted follower.

i need to be willing to bend the knee to Him and love, obey and serve in this moment as well as the time to come... I need his power and grace everyday... and to allow the Holy Spirit to empower me comform my thoughts and actions to his will... not mine. Then I can be in a better position to reflect His charecter, heart and mind to a unbeliving world... who, in this season and when the end does come, will not want to be without the one and only Saviour...The Lord Jesus.

Well, the rapture on May 21st would be a nice way to spend the day, but I'm not quitting my job or anything. I am a prophecy watcher, and I fully believe that we are in the last days. But while I watch the world events, I continue to do the work that my Lord has assigned to me. The Lord told us to watch expectantly, as a servant who is taking care of his master's household with the expectation that the master will walk in the door at any minute. I take that admonition seriously; I really don't want to be caught napping nor sloughing off on my job.

Amen! You will find that we are constantly looking up for our Lord on this site and their is a lot on here about prophecy and the end times.

I totally believe there are 'signs and times' of His Second Coming,but for the Church, we will be Rapture up before the Great Tribulation...

Every prophecy has been fulfilled for the Rapture to happen,but WE CANNOT DATE SET of His Coming...

I totally believe God gave the Church the Great Commission to reach those within the Church Age...

Once the Church can no longer be the WITNESS within the Church Age, I believe the church's purpose is finish...

When the LAST PERSON is saved to enter the Church Age, the Lord will come get His Bride...

We don't know WHEN the last person will be saved so we CANNOT DATE SET,but it's our COMMISSION to witness the Lord and Savior, to a dying world...

We never know....the last person to close the Church Age, could be the person we witness with...

The ONLY thing we will take to heaven is SOMEONE we witness Christ,and they accepted Him as their personal Savior..
