Prophecy sites blame Japan disasters on all our sins



Bible prophecy sites say huamnity's sin cause disasters like the quake and tsunami devastation in Japan.

The earthquake, tsunami and impending threat of melt-down at nuclear plants have catapulted Japan to the top of prophecy web sites. Like every natural disaster, it's being re-construed to fit pre-ordained scenarios for the end of times.

At Prophecy Update Jimmy DeYoung fills us in that:

The word "earthquake" is used 19 times in the Bible, 13 times in the prophetic passages of the Word of God.

And he interviews another prophecy expert, Dennis Petersen, who claims it was The Flood (think Noah) that created the volatile plates underneath the surface of an earth. Human sin defiled God's once perfect creation, bringing on The Flood and hence the real cause of the March 11th disaster is simple -- this is all our "willing ignorance of God".

At Now the End Begins, another Bible prophecy blog, the unnamed writers have an all-purpose reason for all tragedies and disasters:

We believe that now is that time that God, from the beginning of the Old Testament to the end of the New Testament, has warned us would one day come. God tells us who can see this to be a "watchman on the wall", blow the trumpet and warn the people that the time of God's Judgment is upon us.

But it's not only Protestants who turn to prophecy sites. The conservative Catholic News Agency took note that the tsunami rolled in less than 90 miles away from where a Catholic nun encountered apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Known now as Our Lady of Akita, the apparition warned about a worldwide disaster that could afflict humanity, saying:

...If men do not repent and better themselves, God the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. If will be a punishment greater than the (biblical) flood, such as never seen before ... Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.

THINK ABOUT IT: Is this nightmare for Japan the fault of fallen humanity? Does this Christian vision resonate with you

That is an interesting thought. I dont know if God is judging man now with that or not. I dont doubt that he might be. Am I wrong in this statement when I say that God said he would not flood the world again? I am only 10 months into my bible so I dont know if that is right or not?? I think hurricane Katrina was a judment on New Orleans. With all the sexual immorality going on there. I think we are the only state with drive up daiquir shops. Where you can pull up and order your drink and drive off and drink it. I know you can also get shots there to. Hard booze for those who dont drink.

First, let me say that just because a prophecy site is popular or that it tell some truth does not make it our litmus on the truth concerning bible prophecy.

I believe judgment has come to this world in many forms. I also believe God allows these things to happen as a result of His judgment on mankind. To say that my sins caused this to happen to Japan is totally absurd.

Japan as a nation and their national sin of rejecting Christ and worshiping false gods may have brought judgement.

Jesus told us their would be earthquakes in various places and that they would increase with frequencies and get stronger in Matthew 24.

What we need to look at is what does scripture say on the matter!

I just got through studying Kings in the OT so I will say that Israel was taken into captivity by the Babylonians because they LEFT THEIR FIRST GOD, their FALSE IDOLS,and DISOBEDIENCE to God...

God allow MANY to died during this time...

All MANKIND in the world today is much like Israel today, and sadly to say, some professing Christians...

I do know that God protected Daniel during this time when he was taken captivity,and I believe God will protect His True Church, too...

Not to say no Christian will ever died,but saying the Church as a whole, will be protected...for the Rapture of the Church...

Frank is absolutely 100 % correct when he says we're to ALWAYS go to God's Word for our answers...

We are to REPENT,and turn to God...

We're to CONFESS OUR SINS SECOND BY SECOND by 1 John 1:9 to stay IN FELLOWSHIP WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR...

Just as I know scriptures said that a small remnant was always supernaturally protected by God; that tells me, personally, the true church will be a small remnant of true believers...in the Rapture of the Church...

Always...always cling to God's Word for your answers...
