Never underestimate the power of prayer -
My dear family in Christ, I have been away from CFF and fellowship for sometime. This is partly due to my Internet server, which restricts me to access.
I have also been dodging the fiery darts of the wicked one. Times are tough all over, and things are changing - many signs of the times seem to point to the birth pains of later days.
I have need of prayer for my family and for my friend, and sister in Christ who is also going through a tough time.
I have a hefty line of prayer requests -
For my son Edward to be given a grant for college, more work hours, and repair for his car.
For my son Jamie who is living with us, he is a candidate for employment with the local Fire Department. If he passes the test he is to take on Monday, then he will have another test to pass, and then the possibility of being 'hand picked' for employment. He needs this desperately. He is traveling two hours daily to a job that he must work a day to pay for his gasoline to work there. My husband has allowed my son to live with us while testing but if he fails then Jamie will have 30 days to find other lodging. He can't afford it on his salary which is barely above min. wage. If that happens, my son will join the Army, which surely means a combat zone... I pray that is not the future our Lord holds for my son. Please pray my son Jamie passes the test on Monday. I am told that 40% fail. I pray he will not fail, that he continue on in the employment process.
For my daughter Amie - our relationship is strained at this point. The Lord knows the situation and why. Please pray for our mother/daughter relationship to mend.
For my father, Gordon, who is 85 years old, he has Emphysema and Prostrate Cancer. He is now on oxygen 24/7.
For myself, I have unspoken prayer -
For my friend Joy in CA. That the Lord help her and her family, they too are going through difficult times financially.
*Thank you all for your prayers and your friendship here on CFF.
