prayer for my son and his marriage

Postby Carmela » 18 Aug 2009, 09:27

My son and his wife are at a major crossroads in their marriage. Please pray for the Lord's will to be done and that healing will take place so that this marriage will be restored. Both are saved but with many issues. Pray that their 5 year old daughter will be protected emotionally from what is going on. Thank you brothers and sisters!

Lord, I lift up this marriage to You, Lord,

Please bring this couple back together, and help them see their love for each other.

Lord, Satan has such control of our marriages today, and I pray for the full armor of God to surround this family.

Help them see that, You Lord, are the glue to any marriage.

That You are the commitment within a marriage.

Please draw them into a closer walk with You.

Surround this little 5 year old granddaughter with Your warm, and sweet holy presence.

Help her to feel secure in Your arms, and loved as only You can give.

Thank you, Jesus, for listening to our cares and needs.

Thank you, Lord, for being our Father in heaven.

Thank you, Lord, for dying on the cross for our sins.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

Some of my favorite scriptures:

Two are better than one,
Because they have a good
reward for their labor.

For if they fall, one will lift up
his companion.
but woe to him who is alone
when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up.

Again, if two lie down
together, they will keep warm;
but how can one be warm alone?

Through one may be
overpowered by another,
two can withstand him.
and a threefold cord is not
quickly broken.
**********************************

The threefold cord is man, woman, and Christ.

He is the 'glue' in all marriages~

I pray your family will feel God's presence in their marriage~

My son, Tony, heads off to school in Michigan tomorrow. He'll be gone for 3 weeks learning auto restoration. His home inspection business has fallen off so drastically that he has to change professions. I think this will give the marriage some breathing and thinking space. They are together for the daughter at the moment. Neither likes the idea of not being with her on a daily basis. Whatever keeps them together is fine with me. They both agree that ultimately they want to be together but to be happy. They have a wonderful Christian counselor who must have the patience of Job! She's starting them on a program from Plumbline Ministries and it sounds really good. They just have to apply what they learn and stop looking to each other for their happiness. They have the tools, they just need to use them! Once again, family, thanks so soooooo much for your continued prayers!

I pray the Lord will renew their love and bind them together
by their love of their sweet little daughter.

There's nothing like the innocence of a child to remind us where our priorities lie. :mpr
