Remnant you asked in another thread what was the lastest on my dad. He's not doing good, on his good days he can manage to eat only a couple of bites of food, on bad days he's only able to drink some. Running fever off and on, and is so weak he's not able to walk not even to the bathroom without the support of my mom. Went and spent the day with him day after Christmas and he held my hand but didn't have the stength to hold to long, so he placed his hand next to me. Got a call from my mom later in the morning this morning. My dad has always been able to make it to a bathroom when being sick on his stomach till this morning, he didn't have the stength today.

It's been a bit emotional to sit and write out an update on him. Thank you asking. Lord Bless

Sherry, I am so sorry to hear this of your father. I know how hard it must be for you at this moment. My prayer is that your father will find rest and the Lord be merciful in not allowing him to suffer any more. That you and your family be comforted and find peace in trusting God with your father. God's ways are always just, Right, true, merciful and loving. Leaning not on our on understanding but lean on Him.

You and your family are continually in our prayers!

Sherry,

Sorry to hear about your dad still being sooo sick.

Frank is right by saying: 'Lean on the Lord' during these trials.

Trust in Him~

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,
AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING~

Thank you Jeani and thank you Remnant. Watching my dad go through this has really brought about a lot of mixed emotions. I've been fighting some deep depression over the past few years and i realized recently that i had let it come to paralize me. So much so i've purposely stayed away from my family. Late last night started writng out my life and testimony out just trying to get everything straight in my own head.

Trust in Him~

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART,
AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING~
PROVERBS 3:5

Amen

I do, its to hard to understand things sometimes and when you are of Christ then we have no choice but lean upon the understanding of God. Leaning upon our own undersanding will only drown one into depths of dispair that there is no getting out till we acknowledge God Almighty is the one in control and nothing is impossible for Him, He can take a bad situation and make something good come out of it, like drawing us closer to Him, knowing we can trust in Him and know that in some way, somehow, all things work together for the good that love God. It's a lesson i learned years ago when i first come to Christ and still learning today.

Yea Sherry, my husband and I learned to truly 'lean on the Lord' about six years ago.

My youngest son was diagnose with a disease that was hard for him and us to understand.

Many times we didn't think we would make it,and that's how we have to live our life today.

Leaning on the Lord to heal my son,and depending on Him for his health each day.

Accepting what we can't accept or want to accept in our lives.

Knowing God's ways is not our way.

His plans are not always our plans.

Sorry to hear about your son, as a mother can imagine that has had to be hard to deal with. My heart goes out to you. Looks as though God has truly brought your family to a good, firm, solid place in Him, knowing you can fully trust in Him through all this. We lean hard on Him and He embraces our burdens, that he may sustain us.

When i came to the place realizing i needed to give myself to Christ and did, it really took a hold of my life. But i found out pretty fast for me giving my life fully over to Christ meant i was stepping out unto new battle grounds. But because God had revealed His love to me and just how real He truely is i knew no matter what i had to cling to Him. My husband told me that i had changed and i had no right to do that. That i left Him behind and he wasn't going to change. Said that there was this light in my eyes that he hasn't seen in years and he convinced himself i was having an affair. There had always been a verbal abuse but now physical abuse started, I eventually took my bible and i just hid away in my own little closet for the next 7yrs maybe 8yrs. Up til about two years ago or a little more i'd never shared this with no one.

My prayers are with you and your family Jeani

Thank you for sharing, Sherry.

God uses our circumstances in our lives to reach others for Him or just to be a witness of what God can do in our lives.

Sorry to hear about your husband,and your married life.

I married an unbeliever myself, but by the grace of God, my husband became a Christian when he was 33 years old.

My husband was suffering from 'mid life crisis' during this time,and we almost divorce.

Both of us never left our marriage while Satan attack.

Later in our marriage, my husband saw the joy I had in my life with the Lord, and he wanted what I had.

Our church faithfully pray for him to be saved while I started to live for the Lord.

It is true once we're saved,and when we make the Lord the Lord of our life, that spiritual battles start happening in our lives.

This is the only 'hell' we will ever experience,and Satan hates a Christian.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord; A wife is not to depart from her husband.
But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband.
And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her.
and a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace.
For how do you know, O wife, whether yu will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1 Cor 7

O Lord, I pray for Sherry's marriage.

I pray for her husband to be save.

Lord, please bring Christians into his life to see You.

Put a protection on Sherry,and give her peace that only You can give.

O Lord, open up her husband's heart and eyes unto You.

Give Sherry wisdom on how to reach her husband for You.

Keep Sherry strong in You.

Provide all of her needs~

In Jesus' name,
Amen
