Latest on Joan!

She had another chemo treatment yesterday and she is very sick today. Her blood platelets were very low and she went back to the infusion center for a blood platelet transfusion. Toward the middle of the second bag she began to have a reaction to the treatment. Chills and fever, terrible headache and some hives. They stopped the transfusion immediatly and within 15 minutes was almost back to feeling normal. Dr Lawhead wants to check her platelets again Friday and if they are still low, they will have to try another transfusion. She has run a fever and has a lot of pain in her abdomen.

Please keep her in your prayers as she faces more challenges with this treatment.

I know this seems like a long and never ending journey, but we must press on with the hope and assurance that the Lord will bring complete healing.

We are not going to throw in the towel during the toughest of times, but finish this race as to win the prize.

P.S. We are headed to the doctor to see what is going on as of today. She still has fever and the pain is still there. Friday, April 22nd.

Father, I come to You lifting up Frank and Joan...

Please put your arms around her,and give her much needed comfort...

Please allow her body to take the chemo treatments,and take away this fever and chill...this resistance of the treatment...

Give encouragement to Frank and Joan through your Word and faith...

For You are the healer...the encourager...our almighty God....

We give you all honor and praise....

I am still praying for you and your wife both Frank!! I just pray that the chemo will not make her sick anymore. My pawpaw has had to go thru chemo for awhile now. He just got to the point that he said enough. He just couldnt take it anymore.
