Hi From England

Postby Danny C » 30 May 2009, 08:08

Hello, my name is Danny. I am 67 rears young and British living in York, England. I have been married to Vera for nearly 6 years. She is Brazilian but now a British National. Our marriage is truley blessed coming from the Lord Himself. We got married after we had only met a few weeks previous. I know at the time I didn't know her but, as I believed then and still do, I knew someone who knew all about us - God. I trusted Him and He sure hasn't let me down! He always gives the best.

I spent 7 years in the R.A.F. from leaving school. While there I had two trips to Malta, 2 weeks each time, and 1 year posting to Bahrein in the Persian Gulf. When I came back I was Vera's colour! (Thats how we English spell that word). I sometimes think we should spell like Americans - as the word is pronounced. Most of my civilian life after the RAF was working in Engineering. Then when I was 61 I took early reitirement, and I am enjoying every moment.

For the last 15 years I have played outdoor Lawn Green Bowling. I loved the sport but now have stopped playing. I have had enough of standing about on a bowling green for 2 hours in the rain getting wet through. I know there is a saying "Only Mad Dogs And Englishmen Go Out In The Midday Sun!" but now I add .... and the pouring rain!

That's it for now. Going to have a look round forum. God bless all of you.

Danny, Enjoyed your introduction and it is always a blessing to see how God puts two people together. I can relate! I asked my wife to marry me after two weeks of knowing her. We got married a year later.

Looking forward to getting to know you better.

One of my worship leaders is now in England and a missionary there. I will look up the area again.

I'm so glad you chose to check us out and I do not think you will be disappointed, other than the head swelling. :rifl
