The Pathetic State of Today’s Church

Watch this video and ask yourself, how has the church come to be in such a pathetic state?

Our Answer: The Purpose-Driven/Seeker-Sensitive Movements are primarily responsible for these problems.

It’s time to repent and abandon these failed movements / church models and their shallow focus on entertainment and get back to serious, thoughtful and reverent church where Christ is exalted, the scriptures are taught, sins are condemned, and sinners are comforted with the good news of the forgiveness of sins won for them by Jesus Christ on the cross.

Please watch this video and tell me what you think!

I agree with you 100%
I also think that the "church" that is being discussed on the video is a mockery of the TRUE CHURCH. God will not be mocked and the Body of Christ, the True Church, is alive and well.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,… (Ephesians 3:20)

Thankfully I have a 'scripture by scripture' Bible teacher in SS.

My preacher, I'm sorry to say, preaches very shallow sermons.

Sometimes I'll catch him preaching in the OT about the 'church',and the church didn't exist then.

It's 'Israel' he should be preaching instead of the church, but I just over look it.

Can't say I'm right to do this, but I hate to correct a pastor.

No one else seems to notice he messes up,but he's fine in the NT.

However no one will ever grow into maturity under his teachings, and I stay because of my SS teacher's rich teaching.

Jeani, I know you well enough by now that I can honestly say that wherever you are and what ever church you attend, You are there because you are led to be there.

Many times in our lives God puts us in places where if we leaned on our on understanding then we would truly be out of the will of God. I have served in places where I could not see why God would put me in a place like that to pastor a flock of people or to preach the gospel in that type of setting or some obscure corner of nowhere, but it never fails that God eventually reveals His purpose for me to be there.

May the Lord bless your obedience. Because obedience is better than sacrifice!
