CCTV Cameras installed in cinemas
CCTV Cameras have been installed to watch over their audiences by Britain's largest cinema chain.

The cameras, which cost £30,000 each, have been installed at several Odeon cinemas across the country, allowing the audience in each screen to be monitored by staff in the foyer.

They have been installed at nine cinemas in major cities, including Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, and the company plans to install them in all newly built cinemas.

Human rights groups and cinema-goers have expressed their concerns at the introduction of cameras to yet another area of life, with some declaring them an invasion into the audience's privacy.

Liberty, the civil liberties campaign group, has called for Odeon to make every audience member aware that they are being filmed.

Liberty's Policy Officer, Gareth Crossman said: "Film-goers should be informed of the presence of the cameras so that they can go elsewhere if they are unhappy with being filmed themselves."

James Dolan, 26, from Birmingham, who described himself as a regular cinema-goer, said: "I go to the cinema to watch other people be filmed, not to be filmed myself.

"I'm not happy about it. Isn't that why going to the cinema is so fun? So you can have a kiss and a cuddle in the back row. It is a complete infringement of my civil liberties."

Odeon say the cameras are being introduced to allow staff to monitor audience behaviour and prevent crime.

They say that all footage will be destroyed after 31 days, with only suspicious incidents preserved to be used as evidence.

A spokesperson for Odeon said: "Odeon is committed to providing the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for its guests and therefore install CCTV systems in-screen in cinemas where it is deemed necessary. The camera system and subsequent footage is solely for the safety and security of guests."

You KNOW it will be here next. For our own safety, of course. I say, for our own safety, we the people start our own cctv and record our politicians. You know, in case they do something illegal. It would be for their own protection and safety. We would only keep it for 31 days, unless we need it for evidence.

hmmm....I kind of like that idea.

As I read you post, I'm hearing in the background on the News about John Edwards having an affair.

Maybe these cameras could save us some of our tax dollars from being wasted especially when Clinton was in office.

Seeing this happen only makes the old 'rumor' of the fiber optics that bring us our TV shows (right into the privacy of our homes) as having the capability of viewing us right through our own TV screens, making it a very real possibility. In fact, it could already be in full use. How would we know?

One way or another, the possibility does exist.

It is time to drape our tv sets in black! Or better yet, maybe we should just dispose of the irritating things!
I know that will not happen, though if people are not ready for the switch over in February, to high def, they might lose it by default.

Have any of you noticed the tvs at the Walmart gas pumps? I often wonder, who's watching who?

Hey "SweetPeach" that "DEF" thingy, I have been wondering since it was mentioned, is there something hidden that we don't know anout, like a Trojan Horse, sure they will have a better whatever, in oder to put it through your door they have to first convince you they have your best interest at heart, so yes it will have def, that is just the front..ya know like back in the 30's & 40's they had a nice place ( front ) but what was going on in the back, behind the scenes..think a bit, those that do not have cable and or satalite dish etc..the goverment OUT of the Good of their Heart , are giving vouchers or something like that so those w/o can can recieved the def..just think, the goverment puting money out to the people...free, so they can have def...sure they are, our goverment NEVER gives us anything withoput a deep-seeded twisted motive..so I believe this so called def, is not what everyone thinks it is, and you that have had the pleasure of having the new TVs with "IT" already BUILT IN, I think you are being monitored..they have been listening to us for some time "VIA" phone, you do not need to have it off the hook, turn on, etc. it is a Transceiver..and anyone, mainly Christians are being montoried to see if they may be a potencial leader amoung the Christian people against goverment take over, and also they know just how much they can push their agenda, when they read starements comments by Christians that compromise their faith, or will by their own confession have given them that assumption..
I think Christian have been monitored for some time, letters intercepted, those that have a strong FAITH , THAT WILL NOT BUDGE an inch, they are enemies of the upcoming NWO.. They will, well they have already started with those with a little loose brain, and from there work their way up, all they need to is point their finger to Jim Jones, David Koresh, the Ruby Ridge family, and convience we are all alike..which is a liar..
Bill Clinton pointed his finger at the killing of a baby murderer in FL I think it took place, and that man that killed the baby murderer, was NOT with the Christian group, and was told different time to leave from them, or settle down, but he did NOT gothyere with the Christioan group that was protesting peacfully..he killed the baby murderer, and every Chirstian was grouped in with him, and Bill Clinton called them ( Christians ) vigilantes... so we have a name already, thanks to Bill and FOB...
What went on at Ruby Ridge was uncalled for, it was nothing but murder by goverment, that man had no intentions of sawing off shotguns, but that #@$&% knew of their financial situation, and like a spider took him into the web, and then Clinton & Reno waged war against them..
Waco , no differeent, David Koresh found drug stuff buried there, its said was that Bill knew of it and was personally involved, and he could not convience David to keep his mouth shut..if he was the one he wanted, there was ample time they could have just got him while he was away from his home place..he was in town a few days before that, nope, had to use Military Tanks, which BTW our own Military had requested in SOMALIA, and denied them by Clinton..
I think Bill is a murderer, and what of the AIDS blood he had drawn from the prisoner s in the AR State Prioson.. 80% went to Canada, and they are dying of aids there from it, and if you want to know if Bill knew they had full blown aids, yes he did.. no one as far asd I know , knows where the other 20% of that aids blood went..
okay.. got off topic a bit, but not really, just want people to know we have people in our goverment that do not care one bit about the people and will stoop to do what ever they need to do to accomplish their goal, even infecting people purposely with aids just to make a buck..
Yes, Christians are being monitored, have been for some time, what we say can make us their enemy, or their friend, if we have no problem with morals being traded for money, pleasure, and join them in shuting God out of America, by our own testimony we tell them who we are and where we stand......
