Prayer Request

Postby AHeartofJoye » 07 Mar 2011, 10:46

Please say a prayer for my son Jamie. He has mid terms this week.
Please pray that he will be strong in mind, strong in body, and to push on. He's trying his best, they're weeding them out. He injured his knee during PT's, that has been troubling him.
Also, he has an unspoken prayer need... please will you lift him in prayer today. Thank you all!

We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!

For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near...

Father, I lift up Jamie to You as he takes his tests...

Please Lord, give him a sound mind, and help him to retain what he has studied...

Bring all of his hard work before him upon paper...

Take all stress of taking a test away from him...

Forgive us where we fail thee...

In Jesus' name,
Amen

Thank you sweet sister Jeani (:

The devil and his demons are doing their best to crush my son Jamie's spirit, to pull him down ):
Jamie came in last night with bad news, he got the lowest score yet on a test 80. That is just passing ):
It is EMT and the questions are tricky, he over analyzed and that was why he missed a few too many. He wanted to score higher, to raise his GPA, which was 93.7 (he's shooting for a 96).
He has mid terms tomorrow, and really needs prayer. He also hurt or injured his knee - and had to fill out a form and is being sent to a doctor for treatment and x-rays. He injured it during PT's.
I pray that this knee injury will not give them cause to fire him ):
If they do, I don't know what he'll do... other than go into the Army. He truly feels this is his calling. He would be more than just down about it it that were to happen.
Please pray for him to be healed, for complete healing, to push on and graduate in July from the Fire Academy.
Please pray that he is not fired because of this injury... I've slept very little, praying throughout the evening yesterday and during the night. I will continue to pray throughout the day...

Thank you again, your prayers are needed and greatly appreciated!

Dear Joye,

As one who has been through this, I would like to share with you that the Fire Department will not let a little injury keep them from hiring Jamie. They probably have already seen his dedication and drive. In fact, he being injured and continues on even in pain shows them his character and fortitude. They are looking for men just like Jamie on a long term bases that will not pack it in when the going gets tough and it will get a tough.

I pray that he not be discouraged but be encouraged. Tell him to press on and be of good cheer. He is in my prayers.

Thank you Frank, that made me feel so much better!
I will tell Jamie.
Jamie is determined and he is confident that this is his call to duty. Thank you not only for your prayers but for your encouragement,
coming from one who has been there - it means a lot!

Thank you my family in Christ.
Today Jamie has mid terms, he was up late studying, and woke earlier than his usual 4am to study again. He also has practicals today.
They did not send him to the doctor yet, he said yesterday he had to run and run stairs on it. It hurt and ached terribly! He also said that he had to help 'push' a car, as part
of his training drills. Pushing the car with his legs (knee) did not bother him, did not hurt him at all. I pray for his healing, and for him to pass his mid terms and practicals today.
Please continue to pray for my son.

Answered prayer!
Thank you Jesus!
Jamie, had mid-terms and practicals. I prayed and you, my brothers and sisters here in the Lord also prayed (thank you all).
Jamie 'PASSED' his practicals, and scored a 92.5 on his EMT Mid-Terms! Praise the Lord!

He still has not been sent out to see a doctor. They only had him fill out a 'accident' report.

His knee hurts when he runs and does stairs. I pray his knee be completely and fully healed, that it will not hinder him in his PT's or have any long term permanent damage.
Please will you continue to pray for my son Jamie...Thank you all.
