A True Disciple!

Postby Remnant » 03 May 2008, 21:20

Disciples Creed

I'm a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of His and I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure.
I'm done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I don't have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My pace is set. My gait is fast. My goal is Heaven. My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my Guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary.
I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won't give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus.
I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He does come for His own, He'll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear!

Servant of the Lord,
Frank

Brother Frank :)

Thank you for sharing this with us.
We as Christians should 'trust in our Lord' and 'obey' our Father.

Solid and Grounded in Him.

And seeing the multitudes, He (Jesus) went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to him.

Then He opened His mouth and TAUGHT them, saying.

SERMON ON THE MOUNT

BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT. (POOR IS HAVING NO ABILITY IN THEMSELVES TO PLEASE GOD. DEPENDS ON GOD!)

FOR THEIR IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN,

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO MOURN, (RECOGNIZE THEIR NEEDS, AND PRESENTS THEM TO THE ONE WHO CAN ASSIST, THE LORD)

FOR THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK (TRULY HUMBLE AND GENTLE)
FOR THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS,
FOR THEY SHALL BE FILLED.

BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL,
FOR THEY SHALL OBTAIN MERCY,

BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART. ( CONTINUAL ACKNOWLEDGING OF THEIR SINFUL CONDITION, AND ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS)
FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.

BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS (SHOW OTHERS HOW TO HAVE INWARD PEACE WITH GOD.)
FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF GOD.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE,
FOR THEIR IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

BLESSED ARE YOU WHEN THEY REVILE AND PERSECUTE YOU, AND SAY AL KINDS OF EVIL AGAINST YOU FALSELY FOR MY SAKE.

REJOICE AND BE EXCEEDINGLY GLAD, FOR GREAT IS YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN, FOR SO THEY PERSECUTED THE PROPHETS WHO WERE BEFORE YOU.

Thanks for posting this, Frank. It's something we should all live by, and keep in mind daily, and strive to serve Him. There is a huge spiritual battle going on, and so many want to be neutral. A true Christian can't. Jesus said you're either for Him, or you're against Him. A pastor today (I think it was David Jeremiah) said that satan and his demons never sleep - they work all the time against the Lord, and us. We can't afford to be "sleeping Christians", put on that armor, and join the battle for Christ!!!!

Brother, How well I know this! I am under constant attack by agnostics, cultist, mystics and even Christians for taking such a strong stand.

You would think I would be use to it by now but it still catches me by surprise sometimes.

Frank, I think that you just hit on something that is coming about now. The "true Church (born again believers only)" is being persecuted by the so called modern-day, feel-good churches (Laodicean). They may profess Christ, but they don't possess Him. Scripture is very plain on many who say "Lord, Lord", but will be cast into outer darkness.
