I normally check the "view active posts" before I sign on.
I feel some may be offended if I sign on and begin to read and post...so I try to keep and eye on the shoutbox and read and post at the same time.
But most of my reading is done offline...before I sign in.
Forgive me if I don't answer in the shoutbox immediately...and sometimes my kids come in and we are talking...sometimes I'm totally out of the room LOL.

I usually miss what's going on in the shoutbox myself. I am in and out a lot while I try to catch up on posts.
