Encouragement & Condolences to Carmela and Family

Postby Remnant » 04 Mar 2010, 18:52

Dear Carmela, No words can ever convey what only God can give us in times like these. We are so sorry to hear of your sisters husband passing. Our love and great sympathy is extended from this family to yours. You are much in our prayers and pray that God will comfort and give your sister and you and your family the peace that only comes through our Lord. Please let your sister know how sorry we are for her great loss and that she is in our prayers.

May these words be of some comfort to your sister and your family.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

************************

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
Far as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart

If there is anything I can do, please let me know.
Love your brother and friend, and Joan said to give you her love.
Frank

Carmela Again I am so sorry for your loss and echo Frank's sentiments to you and your family.

Just recently I lost Mom and things don't seem the same. But the one thing I hang onto is that
I know that every step I take from here on out that God is always right here when I need him.

I pray that you will be as blessed in this situation as I have been.

I pray to one day very soon meet you here on the board.
If you would want to meet sooner is ok with me..PM when you would like.
A New friend in Christ and sister forever in the Lord Anna

My brother-in-law's memorial service was yesterday. . . ALL day. The calling hours were from 12 to 2 and it was a constant line for the whole 2 hours plus. The funeral parlor guy said the line was down the street and around the block. We figure about 400 people came. Both my sister and I were shocked to see how many lives were touched by her husband. Good, bad, or indifferent, he definately was a huge presence in people's lives. The man who did the service had been a life long friend of Roger's and is the pastor of the local community church and definately saved. The few who were saved and knew where Roger probably was, were very upset. That pastor was one of them. He gave a GREAT salvation message in black and white. . no ifs, ands, or buts. . .he laid it on the line as only a backwoods preacher can do. One thing he said struck me. . he said, "If Roger could come back right now, he'd tell you to follow Jesus!" That was his way of saying that Roger didn't make it to heaven without actually coming out and saying it and offending everyone in the place. . plus making a salvation judgment that only God can make. Anyway, it's over and now my sister can get on with her new life as much as possible at this point in time. Each day will get easier and easier for her. For me, life has become a lot less stressful. I think I have gotten beyond my guilt of the way I felt about Roger. The Lord's will has been done and He knows what is best. Roger is in God's hands now. . the perfect judge. Once again, thank you all for your support. It feels so good to have this family to turn to.

"If Roger could come back right now, he'd tell you to follow Jesus!"

Wow. That says it all.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,… (Ephesians 3:20)
