Mary, our spiritual mother and co-redemptrix with Christ????

Postby Carmela » 07 Mar 2010, 09:52

Five cardinals have invited every cardinal and bishop in the world to join them in petitioning Pope Benedict XVI to solemnly proclaim the Mother of Jesus as the "Spiritual Mother of humanity” as an ecumenical service of clarification to other religious traditions and to proclaim the full Christian truth about Mary.

Hey Carmela don't say this too loud about Mary. She just may be right above you now hahah and she is going to tell Jesus about this hahah.

Well gang please and all readers read The Bible. Mary Never tells Jesus what to do. Only when Jesus was a Child He had to obey her. Never in any Scripture does Jesus Run to his mother. And why would he? For truly He is from the Father He is Immanuel God with us. We can directly pray to God Through his Son Jesus and to The Holy spirit who guides in Truth. But we don't need any Mary or any saint or any image. Pray to The Lord only. Cause He is the only one to pray to and the only one who can answer our prayers. Prayers to saints are not pleasing to God. God is not Deaf. He can hear you. He does not need a saint as a mediator. The Bible tells us Jesus is our mediator. Pray though Jesus. And like me you will see great things. Yes Jesus has done great things in our Lives and friends I know and many of you also who pray to Jesus and not of Mary and the saints. :rifl :thudd :bohd

When Jesus was on the cross, the VEIL OF THE TEMPLE WAS TORN.

Mark 15:38
Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom....

If this was a picture of the outer curtain, then the tear was a public sign confirming Jesus' words of judgment on the temple, later fulfilled in A.D. 70.

Probably the inner curtain was torn, for it was a sign that Jesus' death ended the need for repeated sacrifices for sins, and opened a new and living way of free and direct access to God.

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence BEHIND THE VEIL,

where the forerunner has entered FOR US, even JESUS, having become HIGH PRIEST, forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews. 6:19,20

Christ in heaven as our High Priest...

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,

by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is , His flesh.

and having a High Priest over the house of God. Hebrews 10

The only person without sin was Christ...

2 Cor. 5:21
For He made Him WHO KNEW NO SIN to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Mary had sin....

God's purpose for her in life was to be the 'mother of Jesus' who was borne sinless, but became sin for us...

It does no good to pray to Mary because she's a forgiven sinner...

Jesus is the only person who is our High Priest without sin.

Well this blatant ignorance is expected when there is a flawed view of Mary. First off they act like she was sinless herself which is totally wrong. Mary was a sinner just like every other human that has been born since the fall. When Adam sinned he passed down the curse to all that came after him there fore we all are sinners because of the bloodline which is passed down by the father. Jesus was conscieved by the power of the Holy Ghost (remember he is God too) there fore Jesus father and bloodline was God not from Adam so he was flesh as we are and yet sinless.

Next who was it that died for the payment of sin? Mary? Nope it was Jesus. So Mary has no part in redemption of our sins nor is an intercessor for us in heaven. Jesus is our intercessor to the Father.

Another fallacy is their view that Mary was a perpetual virgin and she is supposed to be so holy. Mary had other childern as is plainly told about in the Bible. She was a lost sinner like we all were and had to be saved just like any other sinner who has ever lived.

This is what you get when a religion holds mans traditions as high as the word of God.

The Biblical view of Mary, the mother of Jesus, is one of the reasons that Catholics are not encouraged to read their Bibles. In fact, they are discouraged because they might intepret it wrong. . . . .afterall, it's in the Bible where the real TRUTH is and they don't want their people finding the truth.
