Paul was a super religious person, who was lost and dead in his own sins, before he came to salvation in Jesus Christ. This same man was then called to preach the Gospel of salvation unto others, and he suffered much for the cause of the Gospel. You see the Devil absolutely LOVES religion. The DEVIL LOVES any religious activity that is void of the soul saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. That includes any type of religion that does not believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, the Messiah, the one who died on the Cross for the sin of mankind. That includes any religion that does not believe that a person must be born again as Jesus Himself declared..........AMEN.....................................

Acts 13:6,12
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer a false prophet a Jew whose name was Barjesus

7Which was with the deputy of the country,Sergius Paulus a prudent man who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer for so is his name by interpretation withstood them seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

9 Then Saul, who also is called Paul,filled with the Holy Ghost set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord

11And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

12Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord

Amen, Jean. Satan lurks around every corner, looking for an opportunity to destroy our witness. This is why we need to know God's Word, which is absolute truth, so we can discern His truth from the lies spewed by the so called religionists, modern cults and other unGodly practices. We need to cling to the Word, hold it close to our hearts, walk with it, live with it, let it shine before us, and use it as a witness for us.

AMEN TO YOU SIR ,YES HE IS EVERYWHERE

We’re in a battle. It’s a war. And thats essentially what Paul is saying here if we are as Ephesians says walking worthy of the vocation to which we’re called, if we’re walking in humility, in unity, not in the vanity of our mind as the gentiles, if we’re putting on the new man, if we’re walking in love not lust, if we’re walking in light not darkness, if we’re walking in wisdom not foolishness, if we’re not drunk with wine but filled with the Spirit, if we’re not singing the world’s songs but songs and hymns and spiritual songs, and if rather than being proud and individualistic we are submitting ourselves one to another,toGOD IF WE HAVE THE right relationships biblically and with spirit‑filled impact, then believe me we will counter the system. We will run against the grain. And that’s exactly what’s happening in our society. AMEN.... when God begins to bless a church OR ONE OF HIS CHILDREN Satan begins to attack AND like you said we have to be in the word in the true word of GOD .AMEN
