Bartimaeus Receives Sight

35 As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.

a blind man...begging...

36 Now hearing a crowd going by, he began to inquire what this was.

he listened, he asked...

37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.

...Jesus! ...

38 And he called out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

...have mercy!....please! ...

39 Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

...pleading...begging...Desperation! ... no one could reason that away from him!

40 And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him,

...the Savior who was passing by stops, and looks at him...the One who formed the ear asks him...

41 “What do you want Me to do for you?” And he said, “Lord, I want to regain my sight!”

...the blind man is blind! ... Lord, i want to see! ...

42 And Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.”

...could it be...if you trust your soul upon Him, that He would save you? ...O, my dear friend...

43 Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

THAT, is the kind of God we have, Jesus Christ, the One who will hear and reach down and heal you, He hears, does not He who formed the eye see? Is His Arm so short He cannot save? No, no, no, He invites you child, call upon Him while He is near, forsake your way and follow Him! If you have to have Him, He will stop, and call you, and make you His own child...that's what He came for! Glorify God and praise Him for it!

"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
With a long life I will satisfy him
And let him see My salvation.”

Psalm 91:15-16

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

May God bless you richly in Christ, Lord and Savior, may He make you a Trophy of His Grace for His Namesake and praise, and may you Glorify Him! And share the good news!
