I'm Blessed!
Helen Keller, Once said: So much has been given to me, I have no time to ponder over that which has been denied.
Anyone who has God as their heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savior, and The Holy Spirit as their comforter, has no time to ponder over those things which has been denied them. But with an overwhelming sense of gratitute, say I am Blessed because so much has been given to me.
I see Christians who complain and murmur, and who let the circumstances of life rob them of their blessings.
1. Because they trust in God's promises.
2. If it is not visual or material then they do not perceive it as a blessing.
3. They could be living under a curse because of disobedience.
4. They do not live and appropriate the blessings of God.
Our heavenly Father welcomes us with open arms and imparts to us blessings upon blessings. Not because we are upright or deserve it, but because Jesus Christ has clothed us with his on virtue. Because through Jesus Christ it has been imparted unto us to be sons and daughters of His.
We are His children and heirs to the throne of God. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! You see, God wants to bless us because we are His children.
You might say; well John over there is blessed but God always seems to pass me by when it comes to passing out the blessings.
If you are a child of God, then you are the object of God's favor.
Let me ask you this; How many of you have received eternal life? If you have then that my friends is the greatest blessing of all. John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
How many of you have the Holy Spirit Living and abiding in you?
Jesus said in John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Do you realize that when Jesus left this earth He left God, the Holy Spirit to sanctify, top convict, to guide, to seal, to comfort, to teach, to give us power, to glorify God in us, to impart gifts to us.
My goodness, How can any Christian say they are not blessed? In fact this ought to make us shout: I am blessed, I am blessed, Thank God Almighty I am blessed by the Best.
So Many times Christians take the spiritual blessings of God for granted.
1. Such as salvation
2. Election
3. Regeneration
4. Forgiveness
5. Adoption
6. No Condemnation in Christ Jesus!
7. Justification
8. Sanctification
9. Perseverance
10. Glorification
11. And even Fatherly chastisement.
David the psalmist said in Psalm 103 that because God blesses us, in adoration we should bless Him. did you know that we can bless God?
Psalm 103:1-5
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Oh my brehren, You are truly blessed!
Bless the Lord Oh my soul and all that is within me Bless His Holy Name!
Psalm 37:3-4
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
God loves you , your heavenly Father wants to bless you physically, temporally and above all spiritually.
Every Christian should be living with anticipation and expectation of the blessings that God offers to those who love and seek after Him. He searches this earth to and from seeking whom he can bless.
I can truly say. I am blessed because Jesus Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
