Angela Montez will be the first one to tell you she was "scared and crying," during a recent robbery, but police and others say she was very brave.
When 23-year-old Gregory Smith—first posing as a loan applicant—surprised the business' only clerk on duty by hopping over the counter wielding a gun, Montez (the clerk) broke down in tears.

But God was about to use Montez to reach that troubled young man.
Montez began to talk to him, telling him it wasn't worth it to throw away his life for some money. He responded by explaining that it was his last resort. He told her he'd been in the service, and had skills, but that no one would hire him, and he had a daughter to provide for.
The two talked uninterrupted for some time. At one point Smith reached toward his pocket for his gun and Montez began to cry and pray aloud....(more)
