Greetings to All

JWayne invited me to join this Christian forum as I am a member with him at Trinity Forum. I'm sorry to hear about JWayne. I have been praying for him and his family along with the other members at Trinity Forum for a complete healing. I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of my life while stationed in Naples, Italy while serving my country in the U. S. Navy. I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind. Looking forward to meeting and sharing with each one here. Anyway, it is good to be aboard. My life verse is found in Proverbs 3:5-7, which is excellent counsel from God's Word.

I mentioned in my introduction of June 5, 2009, that I would write more about myself so that you would be able to know me a little better. I’m a retired Legalman Chief (LNC), U. S. Navy with 20+ years of honorable service to my Country. Accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of my life, while stationed in Naples, Italy on January 1, 1973. My naval career provided my family the wherewithal and opportunity to visit many unique places in countries we never would have visited as civilians. We have lived in Hawaii, Italy, Iceland, and Puerto Rico. We had the opportunity to visit places like Athens, Greece; Isle of Capri, Rome, Florence, and Venice within Italy; Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, Spain; St. Thomas and St. Croix of the Virgin Islands.

I’m an active member of an Independent Baptist Church in the Southern Tier of Western New York since my retirement from the U. S. Navy in July 1986. Have served as a member of the Deacon Board and am presently serving as Church Clerk and Adult Sunday school teacher. I thoroughly enjoy gazing at an exquisite sunrise and the magnificence of a sunset; walking on a tropical beach with a warm breeze blowing in my face as the water cascades upon the beach.

Married to the love of my life … celebrated our 40th anniversary in August 2008 … "God took woman from man's side for a purpose. Not from his head, so she might lord over him or from his feet so she could trample on him, but rather from his side, from underneath the protective position of his arm, so they could walk side by side down the highways and by-ways of life, experiencing the joys and sorrows of life, together as husband and wife."

Two grown sons;
Two precious granddaughters.
__________

Favorite Books … the Bible, God’s; "The Titanic's Last Hero"
Favorite Books of the Bible … Genesis, Exodus, Esther and Galatians

Some of my Favorite Songs … “Since Jesus Came into My Heart” ;“I Will Sing the Wondrous Story”; “Blessed Assurance”, and "Victory in Jesus" … simply put, without Jesus Christ there is no victory

Favorite Artist … Damaris Carbaugh; George Beverly Shea

Some of my Favorite Movies … "Gone With the Wind"; “To Kill A Mockingbird”; “The Sound of Music”; “My Fair Lady”

Favorite Season … Summer.
Favorite board games … Scrabble and Monopoly.
Favorite Cakes … Carrot and Chocolate.
Favorite Pudding … Banana Pudding with vanilla wafers
__________

Life Verse … Proverbs 3:5-7, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil" ... GREAT counsel from God's precious Word.

Blessings to one and all from His Servant …Mikey
