Please Pray for My Husband and Me

Postby Jeani » 04 Jul 2011, 12:44

I've been very upset hearing what our Southern Baptist new stand to accept homosexuals and amnesty for illegals at their last convention...

Also, our church is being taken over by Assemblies...

I taught SS last Sunday to the women, and they don't even understand 'why' it's dangerous for us to accept all religions...

Now you cannot accept a religion that believe salvation plus any kind of works...

Let's just say...salvation plus tongues

Or salvation plus church membership

Or salvation plus baptism...

So we walked into our church service Sunday, and the song leader starts telling us that we need to start changing from sitting still...

The Sunday, before, they had the 'spiritual wave' like they did with the wheat in the OT...

The music begain...and it was exactly like chanting...whisper....Jesus...whisper...Jesus...over and over..

Actually gave me such a 'cold chill' within my Spirit so my husband and I got up,and walked out...

We 'cannot' go back...and I truly 'love' my SS teacher's teachings...

She has, also, told be that her family will walk out of the church 'if' they do the spiritual wave again...

Sooo many members have left since last year, and I fear, there is nothing but 'tares' left...

Please pray for God to lead us to where He can 'use' us...

I have not heard about the SBC accepting homosexuals, but it does not surprise me. I hope though that it is only in so they can be witnessed and discipled to, and not in any leadership roles. I will have to look into this.

Jeani, i'm so sorry for what is happening in your church, but it is a sign of what is coming, and I pray He will come so very soon.

Where have you heard this? I have not heard a word on this. In fact I thought the opposite took place. Especially concerning homosexuals. I do not know about the illegals.

Are you talking about the Assembly of God Church?

Is your church a Southern Baptist Church?

I am sorry that you are having to deal with such in your church. I preached about sin in the camp last Sunday. I will send you a copy if you would like.

I will pray for you and your situation and that God will lead you to a church were the gospel is not compromised and that you will feel encouraged.

You have been missed here!

Yes Frank....I'm talking about 'Assembly of God' is taking over our Southern Baptist Church...

We've been attending a 'home Bible study' last year, and we met the pastor of the home we visited...

They 'used' to be members of our church, but they have left over 'masons' within our church...

Anyway, we left our church 'for good',and we visited this Baptist Church...

It's very, very small, and the preacher has to do SS Class and Church...

They had a man and his wife from Conn. to preach, and he was absolutely wonderful...They are doing their VBS this week...

There was a 15 year old girl that got saved, and baptised that night...

They have their own missionaries they support, and they don't used the Southern Baptist SS materials or send a percentage into the Southern Baptist...

We are presently at this church for now,but will take a long time before we decide to join or 'if' we will join...

This Thursday night at my house we're having a Bible Study, and my husband is teaching...

When he got saved at 33 years old, the first year he 'locked' himself in our bedroom to study..

Little did I know, at that time, that God was preparing him to become a teacher..

Anyway, our deepest concern was the music that was sang on the last day in our church...

Whisper...Jesus....Whisper....Jesus....over and over as if it was....chanting....

I was studying my Bible and I came across these scriptures...

*************************************************
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a DEBASED MIND, to do those things which are not fitting;

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil mindedness; THEY WERE WHISPERERS..

backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them...Romans 1:28~
**********************************************

I never notice the WHISPERERS within scriptures, but God's Word tells me that God does not approve...

Sadly we have left some good Christian friends within the church...

I have shared my heart with my 'best friend,' but her husband and her have decided there is nothing wrong with other religions coming into our Baptist church..

That the 'charmatic movement' does not hurt..

I can only pray God will show them the TRUTH...
