My son, Tony

Postby Carmela » 12 Jul 2010, 16:16

Please pray for my son, Tony. Right now he's coming off of cocaine. I was talking to him on the phone and he wanted so much to sleep but was afraid to because he was afraid that he would die in his sleep from a heart attack. He fell asleep as I was talking to him. He hates himself for doing the drug and really wants to stop. He hasn't done drugs in many months but he fell and cocaine is demonically insideous. It beds deep into the brain and changes chemical messengers. I get so angry because drugs of all kinds could be stopped if this country really wanted to. Tony needs deliverance from alcohol and drugs, period! I know that God is able but I'm really upset.

Father, I come to you asking that you deliver Tony from this addiction to cocaine or any other drug. Father, you tell us to ask believing and not doubting and that is what I am doing. Believing that he will be healed and delivered.

I also ask that you protect his mind and not let him be so fearful. protect him from the evil one and bring joy into his life through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Give Carmela peace and rest. knowing that you are watching over Tony. We ask this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus, Amen!

Oh Carmela, I'm so sorry to hear this. I most definitely will say a prayer for Tony. And will say one for you also.

Thank you dear brothers. I talked with Tony this morning and he's doing ok. He feels encouraged and is going to take the necessary steps to put a stop to this addiction. He has a wonderful church with outreaches for personal issues such as this and he's attending one of the men's meeting tomorrow night for alcohol and drug addiction. I love you guys :)

Carmela, that's great news, and proves that God is on the move in his life. Many times in our lives before we surrendered it all to Jesus, we find that He was very much involved in "building our testimonies" so we would be very effective in ministering to those who struggle with the same issues. A mother's prayers for her children is very powerful stuff !

So glad to hear this wonderful news. And what better support than from one's church family. I'll continue to pray that Tony will continue to fight and that God will give him the peace & understanding to fight this battle. Carmela we love you too, dear sister!
