[iThe Fall of the Dollar, The Rise of the Cashless Society?

Will the dollar's collapse usher in a single global cashless economic system?

The possible ramifications of the dollar's recent decline to historic lows truly makes one's head swim. No one knows exactly what will happen as a result of the current upheavals in the world's economic system.

However, a few possibilities concerning how those who seek power and wealth might use this situation to gain complete control of the world's wealth have occurred to me.

Do not be deceived, "...the love of money is the root of all evil;...". Since ungodly men are motivated by the lusts of the flesh, we can say with all certainty that those who lust after power and money are seeking to gain every advantage over others.

There is the very real possibility that an economic collapse will present them with the perfect opportunity to reach their goal. An economic collapse, coupled with the technology of today, could yield a global economic system which will have a single cashless electronic currency and an airtight system of inventory control.

Once these are in place it will be possible to control every individual's ability to buy and sell. The new system will hold all "money" in its computers and a person's access to their wealth can be granted or denied by those who control the system. The ability to sell will also be controlled by the use of an airtight RFID system of inventory control. All production, distribution and sale of goods and services will be absolutely controlled.

A currency collapse would provide the convincing "reason" for a transition to a completely cashless monetary system. Since coins and paper notes would be worthless, why not implement an electronic global monetary system? The advantages, we would be told, are without number. Security, stability and convenience would appeal to individuals as well as businesses.

A cashless electronic currency would eliminate the expense of printing paper money and manufacturing coins, both of which wear out and must be replaced, again with considerable expense.

Also, there would no longer be competing currencies in the global market place. No need for currency exchange when traveling or conducting business abroad. No more fluctuating values of the world's many currencies. The advantages are myriad, but the "good" will be eclipsed by the evil.

This system will enable tyrants to impose their will upon every person. Once they control the ability to buy or sell they can say, "Submit, or die."

Those who control the New Economic Order will be able to confiscate the wealth of others at will. Those whose wealth is in this system will be unable to resist.

"Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

The only hope of man, your only hope, is to turn with all our hearts to Jesus Christ, depending wholly on His goodness.
