'Ground Zero' bus ads get green light
A terrorism expert is very pleased that the New York Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) has agreed to display his group's bus ads, which show opposition to the construction of the "Ground Zero" mosque.
The MTA had refused to display the Freedom Defense Initiative's (FDI) ad, which questions why the proposed mosque has to be placed so close the spot where the twin towers of the World Trade Center were destroyed by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001. (See earlier story)
Most Americans consider ground zero to be hallowed ground, and opponents of the mosque project believe it is an affront to the memory of the 3,000 people who perished that day in the name of Islam.
