“Better late than never"

Postby Bible Bear » 24 Feb 2010, 17:54

I'm sure you have heard the saying better late than never. Let us suppose we forget someone’s birthday. We get them a belated card. Ok no big deal. But is it always ok to be late than never.

Sometimes this works and sometimes it does not work so.

Try to tell this to your boss at work. Come in to work late every day. Never better late than never right boss. He or she would say. Some places allow but others say. No you must be here on time. If you come late your job is gone.

What does this have to do with the Bible or God at all? Well like many of you I have witnessed for Jesus. And like many at first this was just something to think about and then many of us say.. It is not the right time to choose God. I’ll choose him later. This is a lie that Satan wants us to believe to put off Jesus and being saved. Satan knows if you wait too long and your life is over. Better late than never is not going to get a person to Heaven. So let’s say perhaps the person dies and now is before God. Hey God better late than never right. I see you now. I believe you now because I see you now. I’m sorry let me in.

In this situation again better late than never did not work. It is too late says the Lord. You should have not counted on better late than never.

For you see in my word it says today is the day of Salvation. John the Baptist said unto all. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Well this means life is not very long. Let us not hesitate to accept Jesus. Rather say better to do now than to wait until it is too late. Jesus wants to be in your life now. No matter what you have done. Many say I have done too many bad things. Many say I have done too well. God would not punish me right?

But Jesus died for all sins small or big sins he covered them. You have not done too bad either have you been too good to accept Jesus. We all need his forgiveness. But let us not say better late than never. But let us accept Jesus now even now who we are. Jesus has helped me and millions of others and will help you when you bring him in your life because you did not wait.

If you have a health problem you go to the doctors. The same with God you wait and your health problem will not go away could even lead to death maybe. Once you tell the doctor. The doctor can work on this. The same with Jesus once we bring our life and Heart to him no matter our problems then God can help us if we let him help us.".

Great Post!
I have preached this for years. So many will take a perfect strangers advise about health problems but when it comes to the Great Physician and ultimate healer, they totally ignore.

This is so sad....I remember my first husband saying that he thought it would be great to know when he was going to die so that he could repent right before and go to heaven.

This shows the truth of the heart...it is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it.

This is love for sin and hate for righteousness.

This is darkness that comprehends not the the Light.

Satan knows the heart and only God can do a miracle in the heart of man....

God always takes the initiative in a love relationship with anyone.

Jesus came to the disciples, and chose them to be with Him.

He came to Paul in the Damascus Road.

In our natural human state, we do not seek God ON OUR OWN INITIATIVE.

No one can come to me (Jesus) unless the Father who sent me draws him....Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me....This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has ENABLED HIM. John 6:44,45,65

When Christ comes to us.....one better not turn Him away...because there comes a time when Christ STOPS coming to that person...
