Ad Removal!

Postby Remnant » 01 Jun 2009, 18:05

As many of you have noticed the ads have popped up and they show up to everyone except administration and staff. The reason for that was because they cost to be removed. They had gone from $5 a month to almost $30 a month. Which was totally outrageous. I had some funding but at that rate it was eating it up so I stopped. I complained heavily and so did others and just this week they dropped it back down to $5. So I paid to have them removed up until July 10th. I pay them in mothly increments because that is the only way I can keep up with it. I have enough to last until the end of the year. and to get the yearly payment for the domain. Please let me know if they continue to appear. It will take a couple of days for them to disappear.

Thanks for being a part of Christ First Forum!

Frank, I don't know what ads you are talking about. I will gladly help pay to have them removed, for the benefit of the others, but I have no problem with ads at all. What do the ads advertise, and if they "pop up" can't most people block pop ups? I only use Mozilla Firefox browser but I will test out CFF with Internet Explorer to see if there is a pop-up issue.

I checked IE, no ads popped up but you have paid to deactivate them so that makes sense. The only ads I ever saw where ads next to the chat box and lately they have all been Christian ads.

Sorry you are having to pay extra to have ads removed.

Lynda, Thanks for your wanting to help. The adds are next to the chat box and they have at times not been very fitting for this site so I would rather not have them.

We have a thing called a community chest and I do not ask anyone for money. If you would like to donate something to keep the board from adds and to help just go to the Community Chest at the bottom of the index page and it is self explanatory. We have been blessed to have a couple of donations over the last year to help. It does not take a large amount but I have been able to add certain features that does not come with out a charge.

God Bless you sister!

Coincidence is when G-d decides to remain anonymous.

Be not a follower of man,but of the everlasting Lord.

I try to stop them as soon as possible but, I may miss them a few days because I don't see them and the renewal to remove comes around the first of the month.
