With Thanksgiving just around the corner people will be saying thanks around the dinner tables and family gatherings. I believe that thanksgiving is not just one day a year but we should always be giving thanks daily for what God has done for us.
This year, I have a real praise of thanksgiving for my wife is healed of cancer and is still with me. March of this year she had a soccer ball size cancerous tumor removed and was found to have third stage ovarian cancer. My wife was in the 2% of people her age to contract this terrible disease. During her 10 day stay in the hospital she had to have two blood transfusions and lost 17 lbs. My wife only weight 125 lbs to begin with. People were praying for her and me all over this country and we know that God is faithful and we believed that she would go home and she did. After getting out of the hospital, two weeks later she begin her Chemo treatment. Her cancer score called CA 125 was 4000 and normal is 35. Her treatment was very hard and long. During all the sickness and loss of hair and weight and times of nausea, she never complained and lit up the doctors office every time she went in. She was what the Chemo nurse and Dr. called their model patient. Her faith never waverd and her joy was always evident forever thankful to everyone involved. To make a long story short after her last treatment in late August she was found to be cancer free and her CA 125 was 14. Praise the Lord!
I have so much to be thankful for. My wonderful wife of 26 years was saved from this dreaded disease. And I was spared the heartache of having to live the rest of my life without her. She is my best friend and
lifelong companion. Next to salvation she is the best thing that has ever happen to me. I now that the prayers of the righteous availed in the healing process and I give God all the praise and glory for her healing and my peace. It was a long journey of hospitals, treatment centers, doctor visits. A lot of tears of sorrow and many tears of joy. I want to
thank all here that has prayed for my wife and I.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
God Bless you and I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
